Dyeing has been put on hold... I needed bigger triangles than the ones I ordered, they will be here in a week. Probably a good thing since I have finals coming up. This weekend made me feel like I was on winter break, but I still have two busy weeks ahead.

Breakfast
Yum, I love weekend breakfasts.

Quick Beach Trip
Aaron went into work today and was promptly sent home, so he got a 4 day weekend too! He thought he was going to help out today, but they felt bad making him work on a holiday since he doesn't even get paid. So we decided to head to Newport. It was a short trip, but since we only spent a few hours there it made our day seem really long and productive. We walked out onto South Jetty and enjoyed the scenery.

We watched this kite boarder for a while.

Catching some serious air!

We had beautiful weather and Aaron got some beer at the Rogue garage sale. Then we headed home to run some errands. We stopped at this awesome quilt shop in Philomath, it was huge and they were so helpful. Now I'm well on my way to the super awesome quilt I posted about last. I'll post fabric pictures tomorrow. Tonight I washed and ironed everything and also started on Christmas presents! Aaron is currently making cherry wine, so we are feeling very accomplished today!

And I'm Back!
After a total roller coaster week at school...not passing a big clinical test, having my "perfect" schedule get thrown for a total loop, a patient canceling 45 minutes before his appointment (I was already scrambling for points in clinic and so I had to spend my already short lunch break hunting for a new patient that fit a few requirements), and general stress, I feel better!
I've come to terms with maybe not getting an A...or not carrying my extra points to next term...it's all very complicated really, but anyway the point of this post is that I am finally feeling creative and like myself again.
After a small craft day at Amber's I'm feeling inspired. I'm ready to batik again and try this:
Maybe not the quilting yet, but the dyeing/discharging technique. I would like to eventually make a quilt out of all of my own fabrics. This is probably at least a year out though.
I might have something to show for myself in a week...

Happy Day
My schedule this term is pretty crazy...but the good thing about it is all the late starts we have - there is only one ridiculously early morning. Fridays I have to get up at 5:45 and don't get home until 6:30 pm or so. But most mornings are reasonable if not late. Those mornings I take a walk, or go to the gym and it's so nice to start my day that way and not have to worry about it when I get home.
Today I went to Dixon at 9, (no one there, so great!) did all my knee strengthening exercises and then went to school. School was so hectic, I ran around for 4 hours helping my classmates get through clinic, and the drive home felt so long.
When I got home though Aaron had made up heart shaped pizzas and prepped everything, made a really nice salad and picked up some sparkling cider and a Greek Gods honey yogurt for dessert. Not only that but he told me how much he appreciated everything I do and all the support I give him, since he's been stressed out about finding a job in a few months. Awwww! What a perfect end to a long clinic day.

Oh a few side notes...if you haven't tried this yogurt you are in for a treat! (Stick to the honey, it's the best). We've been buying American Dream dough balls and making their pizza at home for $4! Also I got the shirt woot today, I guess I'm a sucker for baby blue and gold fish.
Eating yogurt now...
