I put pictures on my computer today and realized, we have been doing things over here, and I haven't blogged about them. We celebrated my mom's birthday:

We also made some stewed tomatoes and next up is applesauce, we have a tree full of apples we need to do something with.
Meanwhile school is plugging right along, although I'm still looking forward to Christmas break!

Milk Man

I asked Aaron to pick up some milk on the way home from work last night. "Oh, but you are on the motorcycle. Never mind I can grab some in the morning." "It's okay, I can get it."


He's so resourceful.

Fall Festival

This was like, oh 2 weeks ago, but I got a little behind on my blogging. Amber came to Corvallis and we walked over to Fall Festival with Tuesday. The weather was beautiful the whole weekend, so it was a perfect weekend for it. Amber and Tuesday made a little plate with Tuesday's hand print on it. It was surprisingly un-messy...

My favorite batik artist was there as usual: Lisa Telling Kattenbraker
I got a chance to talk to her, and glean some secrets of her work. She was super nice, and willing to share all sorts of tips with me. The biggest one of all: an electric tjanting tool. I got it on Tuesday, and I'm hoping to use it one of these days! This year is crazy, I'm in Eugene almost full time, 5 days a week and I'm so tired when I get home. Luckily Fridays are the only really bad days. I woke up at 5:30 am. Went to school, cleaned teeth. Had a 10 minute lunch. Cleaned teeth. Got home at 6:30 pm. I'm still recovering today.
I guess Mondays kind of suck too...Injection day. Meaning I sit in the chair while a classmate practices mouth injections for the first time on me. I. Hate. It. And I cry. I will be SO happy when we are done with that. Only 8 more Mondays this term, then I'm done with those, thank god.

People are Strange

Aaron and I have gone to the OSU library the last two nights to study. I am recovering from summer's complete lack of homework discipline, and Aaron has a test tomorrow and his boards in 3 months. Last night was fairly uneventful, but tonight Aaron reported seeing a guy washing his feet in the bathroom sink not once, but TWICE tonight. I'm talking like only an hour between washings. Could this be some sort of religious thing, or just strange behavior??
Then on my way out I see in a girl in a study cubicle, and I notice she has unusually frizzy hair, like it had been in tiny tight braids and was let free. Then I see that she is STRAIGHTENING HER HAIR absentmindedly as she studies. She kind of hid it as I walked by (twice just to make sure), but what would she do in a situation like that if someone she knew happened to see her? Awkward.
One more strange thing, as I was leaving The Reverend Andy (remember him Megan?) was exactly where he was last night as I left doing the exact same thing (unlocking his bike). It was very deja vu. I've seen him around town a dozen times, always in a black trench coat, always on his bike and always with no less than 4 plastic Grocery Outlet bags hanging from the handlebars. No wonder, as a culture we are obsessed with "reality TV". People do the strangest things. I'd love to see what that guy does in the course of a day.

Pancake Breakfast

I loooove my weekends now that I am driving to Eugene 5 times a week. Luckily I have a carpool which means for now I will only be actually driving 1-2 times a week, and riding the other days. This morning we slept in, and then made hash browns, blueberry pancakes, bacon pancakes and bacon crepes. It all turned out superb.






I'm having a hard time getting back into the studying swing...I'm used to my free time! It's a lot harder finding time to study with Aaron here than I thought it would be. I need to figure out a routine pretty quick, since it's going to be a big studying year with all my boards coming up in just a few months.

Puke Cuke

I found this, um, growing in the fridge the other day. I can only imagine events like this will increase in the next few months.

Megan and Jason's Wedding

Megan and Jason's wedding was a few weekends ago, and Aaron and I had a blast. It was held at Jason's parent's house in Oregon City.

I wish I had a picture of the sparklers! That was so fun dancing around like fireflies in the yard. Congratulations you two, and I bet you love your photo booth book, it turned out awesome!
