Love

We finally got some art up in the guest bedroom.  These prints were done by Aaron's sister Anna, each color was screen printed individually and they are gorgeous!  

We got Ikea frames (Ribba) and had mat cut at Affordable Framing - they were fantastic and put it all together perfectly for me - no random dust bits or smudges on the inside!

I'm loving the picture railing too.  It would always take me punching 4 holes in the wall before getting a picture hung in the correct spot.  Now we can move things around whenever we want, wherever we want.

The next thing this room needs are some curtains.  The brown blinds that came with the house are awful.  Then some small lamps and a quilt and it will be done.

Aaron's sister Anna just graduated with an art degree from Western Oregon University. I commissioned these paintings of me and my parents after seeing some other similar paintings she had done. My parents are avid birdwatchers, so I thought it would be fun to have them painted with their favorite birds. She threw in Aaron's painting as a gift.

Aaron with an American White Ibis - not his favorite bird, but more so his "animal". Meaning he kind of looks like an ibis. Anna thought this was funny and tied it into the series.


Me with a Western Tanager, my favorite local "pretty" bird.

We love our new paintings!!! It's amazing to me how much they look like us! Anna doesn't start work for a few weeks and has lots of free time to paint!
