Salt and Pepper Mayheim

One of our regular clients came into work on Friday and told me about this estate sale in Philomath. I originally went to look for Pyrex, but as soon as I walked in, I realized there was only one thing to see here...salt and pepper shakers....thousands of them....so crazy! A woman had been collecting them for over 60 years, and she had over 5,000 sets!!! She was deceased, so a company was running the sale, and they had them organized really well, vegetables, chickens, super collectible, cats, etc. I went on Friday and got two and knew they were going half price on Sunday, so I got there first thing and went a bit overboard. They just have so much character and it was a good price...so I bought myself an instant collection. Some are for gifts, so I'm not keeping all of them by any means, but I think it will be fun to change them around. Some of them are really old and I had to careful when cleaning them to not remove the paint.
