For the last two years we have celebrated Thanksgiving by ourselves, as well as with family. Traditionally we have dinner at my aunt's house, she likes to mix it up every year, which we love. But we also like to have the same special things each year. So we spend a day (or two) in the kitchen together making everything from scratch. This year Aaron suggested we do it over New Year's weekend, and I think that may be a new tradition in itself. Some photos from the last two days:
Making cherry wine
And a cranberry version of sloe gin...since you can't find sloe berries here.

I might have to try the cranberry gin...
Nice to have your own Thanksgiving dinner just the two of you! The turkey looks so yummy
